A splash of urban existentialism against effervescent patterns of art is what donned the runway at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive ’13, where designer Karishma Jamwal showcased her latest collection “Between Smudged Lines” under her very own label “Lotus Sutr”.
A seamless blend of the bold and the beautiful, with graphics that stood out yet mingled with smudged water colour paints, Karishma Jamwal’s collection had been inspired by Jill Ricci’s art form of harmonious coexistence. The palette varied from sky blues to mustard browns to sunset oranges and tangerine with draped jackets and floor length togas. Fringed detailing and an urban bohemian feel completed the look.
Speaking about the collection, Karishma said that it would appeal to the younger generation as well as the more mature middle aged women, in fact anyone who could appreciate the magic art could create on fabric.
